Cobralans #13 - 26th November - NEW VENUE

Its been a while, but the next lan has been planned!!

Cobrlans #13 will be on the 26th - 27th of November from 2pm Saturday until 12 pm Sunday.

There will be heaps of prizes and competitions as usual :)

Just some of the games that will be played: CSS, Killing floor, Left 4 Dead 2, Mine craft, New track mania, Cod MW2, Warcraft III, Unreal Tournament 3

We have a new venue in Mt Evelyn, its the Mt Evelyn Public Hall. Click here for a Google map

Currently there are only 40 places available at the lan, so first in, best dressed. We are in the process of arranging for more places to be made available, so still register for the event if the places are full. We will try to cater for the people on the waiting list.

Cobralans 12 Prizes & Sponsorship

Cobralans 12 is only 11 days away!! Confirmations will be opening this Sunday. I have also received the prizes from our sponsors, We have got some really good stuff this time. Check out the prizes & sponsorship forum topic for details and pictures.

We will be creating a schedule for the day of games played, servers running and competitions and tournaments very soon, so keep checking the forums.

Also if you have any requests for games, servers or tournaments, post that on the forums so we can make it happen :)

Cobralans 12

The next lan has been planned :) it will be on the Queen�s birthday long weekend (two weeks before the school holidays). Sunday 3pm to Monday 3pm

We are going to have a schedule for when certain servers will be up and when the comps are and comps will also be better organized this lan so they aren't dragged out for 5 hours again :) We are also having a projector to have info displayed on such as comp standings, schedule, servers running, movies etc. There will also be a console corner with guitar hero or something similar, probably have a comp for that too.

We will have lots of prizes to giveaway again and RedBull will be dropping in around 4 or 5.

It's very important that everyone attending registers and then a week before the lan, confirms their place as this event may fill up and there will be a waiting list.

Cobralans 11 - Wrap Up

Lan 11 was the biggest lan so far with 60 gamers attending. The redbull girls droped in once again handing out free drinks and energy shots.

The main games played were COD 4, Left 4 Dead 2, Killing Floor, CSS, Ut3 and Trackmania. We had a few tournaments with prizes: Thermaltake coolers and fans, a headset, a webcam, a Tv tunner card and some other cmaller things.

Everyone was running DC++ all the time and one user with over 3 TB's shared.

The next lan we are hoping to improve the network, have some defferent comps, have a chill corner with console/TV and more sponsors and prizes.

Cobralans 11

The next lan will be held on Friday 29th - Saturday 30th Jan 2010 (Midday til Midday) at the Kilsyth memorial hall. Full details are on the Information page.

We will be playing the new Left 4 Dead 2 and many other games. There will be lots of comps and tournaments held, with heaps of prizes given out.

Cobralans 11 will be a great lan and heaps of fun, to come you need to register.

Cobralans 10 - Wrap Up

Cobralans 10 was great, we had heaps of prizes and competitions :) In total there were 48 players attending, the most we have had so far at any lan.

Thermaltake donated mousepads, coolers and fans, RedBull dropped in with drinks, Linksys by Cisco gave us a wireless router and little mice and usb hubs and Terrabits Computers in Mooroolbark supplied Kaspersky internet security sofware.

There were lots of games and servers run, some of the popular ones were: COD 4, Left4Dead, Killing Floor, CSS, Unreal Tournament 3 and Trackmania. We also ran a massive COD 4 comp that started at about 10pm and finished at 3am, and almost had every person participating.

Cobralans 10

The next lan has been planned! Cobralans 10 will be held on the 25th to the 26th of September (Friday to Saturday). We will have seats for 76 ppl. So far Thermaltake are sponsoring the event, they have donated metal and gaming mouse pads aswell as coolers, fans and an external hard drive kit. RedBull will also be dropping in to give out drinks.

We will be playing heaps of games and have lots of tournaments at the lan. Some of the games played will be: Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor, Demigod, GTAIV, COD4 & 5, CSS, Trackmania and Warcraft III. We also have a teamspeak server with heaps of different rooms for tournaments and just general chat, so bring your headset.

Registraions are now open, so sign up if you wanna come. Talk your mates into comeing aswell cause the more people at the lan, the funner it is.

Head to the forum to chat about the next lan, new games, tournament ideas and to make any suggestions for the lan. We will be doing the usual pizza run for dinner or there are fish n chip shops and other take away close by.

Try to install as many of the games as you can before the lan as this will maximise your gameplay on the day :) If you are planning to share files, download and install DC form the website as it takes a while to hash all your files.

Cobralan 9

Cobralans 9 was a great sucess, we had 40+ people and heaps of competitions. We had a floppy drive throwing competition, the furthest throw winning a 750gb hard drive. We also had some fans and mouse pads from Thermaltake to give away. There's heaps of photos of the lan, check them out in the gallery.

Cobralans #9

Cobralans 9 will be held on the 3rd-4th of July at the Kilsyth Memorial Hall. There will be places for 72 gamers. This lan is gonna be huge! Hopefully the biggest one yet.

Thermaltke are sponsoring the lan and The Redbull Wiings Team will be droping in. Ive also contacted Razer, OCZ, AMD for sponsorship and am yet to hear back. We will run heaps of comps and have prizes. If anyone has any suggestions, ideas or game request for the lan just jump on the forums.

This will be a great lan and I hope to see everyone there.
